As Milton Mayeroff once said, “Love is selfless promotion of the growth of the other.” It is indeed true. There is nothing more sincere and noble in the heart than to stretch your hand forward to make a difference in the lives of others. It would not take much time as it may be just another chore you add to your daily duties.
Initiative is the core word. You have to willingly sacrifice part of your time to do what is beyond your norm. Helping around with out being asked to, frequently surprise others with flowers or gifts when they least expected, make the extra effort to pop in an old folks’ home and touch the life of another lonely soul, making the life happier for those children in the hospital’s critical wards are a few to mention.
This season is the season of joy, love and peace. Put on your Santa hat and go around to touch the heart of another. It does not necessary be of monetary value. It can be by rendering your time and service to those desperate in need. Share the love and joy you have with them and make them happy. After all, the more you rejoice, the more you can find inner happiness. Thus, you will find yourself being blessed endlessly as what goes out will eventually find its way back somehow.
