to be honest..i feed the man..hoping that by feeding him he has the energy to find a job and earn some money and eventually feed the dog..good enough?
i'd feed the dog, fatten him up & feed it to the beggar later! :P

dont think i wanna give to both... call social welfare to take care of the beggar... then call SPCA to take care of the dog...
If I can afford to: both; Because they are living beings.
If I can only feed one: the human; Because we're the same species.
Like it or not, sometimes you got to make choices... and it's not really possible to "save the world".
must i choose? can i choose neither? the beggar should have gotten a job and earn some money himself.
as for the dog... i dont think i carry dogfood with me all the time.
From this photo, I feel shameful for the human. In reality when do you see a dog that beg to survive? They will just go around looking for foods, while in reality they are human just chosed to beg.
i agreed with zewt. we don't carry dog food all the time. if we give $ to the dog, it also means giving to the beggar in the end?
i think i will feed the man. i will ot judge. it will not be politically correct but i think humans should be above animals

In all honesty I would feed the dog for the simple fact we, people, have domesticated the dog so it's our responsiblity to take care of him. The man can get off the street & go to McDonalds to get a job to feed himself...the dog either fends for himself (which usually gets the pound called on him & 3 days later dead) or I feed him. The man can sit there & look pathetic & ask for help or he can get up & make his own help. Sorry for the strong opinion...I'm more of an animal person if you couldn't tell.
Aih this is a very sad picture though adorable...
I once told my ex that when I get rich, I want to open a HOME NOT for old people with kids (kids should be responsible to look after their parents!), but open it for the beggars. And my HOME will have lots of educational activity teaching those beggars who are still capable of learning and working. I will bring in people to teach them handcraft work, woodworking, sewing, cooking, anything basic and easy to learn! Then they can find a reasonable job for themselves.
I never like the sigh of seeing beggars on the streets... kills me heart cause my imagination will run wild thinking "family died? got kicked out by family? got lost and family never found him/her? kidnapped to be beggars?"
So so sad...Thanks for posting this picture! Hope it touches others!

Oh good! You have not commented yet. I'd feed the dog, not the beggar. I won't be giving the dog money though, just get some food for it.
As for the beggar, he's a human with hands and legs and he has a brain to use. He should use all that he has and try to get a job to feed himself. Not resort to begging. IMHO, begging is just the easy way out for lazy people who wants to manipulate sympathy from other humans.

OK, my 1st thought without thinking further, like my right brain doing its job. I will feed the dog. Thats the first thought. Feed the dog. Why? alamak... thats my left brain job. ok, processing now. Hmm... the dos is smart. The dog knows how to beg while the beggar, is he cacat ah? if he is not handicapped... well, shame on him. go find a job. If our DBKK sees you, for sure you end up in the jail.. There my left brain style of answering this type of question. I am sorry. I am human too. I should kesian the beggar... but... the dog lagi kesian. so pandai one. I take care the dog and leave the beggar to the official.

Hi guys and ladies: Thanks your your comments. There are no actual answers to what you have commented. Each and everyone of you have your own opinion on what should have been done.
As for me...I will seek relevant party to adopt the dog. This will ensure that it will get a steady supply of food instead of one time off.
As for the man, he should have sought for a job since he has two hands and two feet. I will not feed him as this will encourage him to give up his willpower to strive for a better life. Otherwise, as Pikey or papajoneh or piggy said, he should be handed to the welfare department for grooming to fend for himself in the future.

wow... so many opinions. The question is already over but I would feed the dog. I think it's awful that the beggar is using the dog as a pity tool to beg for money. I'm sick and tired of it... it's very common here in Switzerland. the govt here actually gives unemployed people and beggars etc money each week for pet maintenance! If I'm not wrong they receive 10francs per dog per day. As a result a lot of homeless bums get dogs (some have several dogs!) just to receive govt support, while using the dogs to continue begging for money... and they receive sympathy too! That sort of exploitation rubs badly against my morale. In my opinion that's as good as emotional blackmail!
