IT’S STILL NOT TOO LATE TO LEARN

Phew...Finally I managed to learn up some basics on the software that can create animated graphics. It took me more than a day to maneuver with the tools and short cuts through the tutorial accompanied by the software. I would not say it is an easy task. It is through trial and error that I managed to come out with something which I think is quite presentable.

For some time, I was scratching my head on what sort of animation I should come out with. Finally, I have decided to use Nuffnang logo as my trial creation. Please do not laugh at my creation as I am still an amateur in this line. It takes time and lots of applications to be an expert. Initially, I have added an edited song into the animation, but I took it out later. It could be quite irritating for some people. Please give me some feedback in order for me to improve better. After all, this is for my self development. Here is the outcome of my effort.

**this is not a sponsored post**

For the past few days, I was in deep thoughts of whether what I have learnt all these years are well-equipped for this ever changing world of technology. “Am I still an old dog spinning my wheels all the time and not getting anywhere?”, “What are the new things I can learn?”

As I was saying, it is still not too late to go back to basics and learn something new to help keep yourself moving ahead. Some people will think that they are too old and lack of mental capacities and understandings to learn up new things. It is not about how long it will take. Finishing is not the goal. The goal is getting started now. It just takes a bit of your TIME, EFFORT, DEDICATION, COMMITMENT, CONCENTRATION and SELF DISCIPLINE to make a difference.

The world does not sit still and wait for anyone, so you need to keep updating yourself on and off whenever you can. There is always someone out there thinking how to change something or to make things better. It seems like they keep screwing it up! But they never give up! Until today, I still believe in my life philosophy, “Never Say Die, Always Say Try”. Who knows? One day, I might excel in my line of work!

So get your butt out from the cozy seat you are on now and learn something new today. It could be HTML programming, cooking, designing, writing, gardening, etc. Just do it!

As always, I love yr spirit !
Recently, I read a very inspiring article @ our local newspaper. The old preacher went back to school at 56 after preaching for more than 25yrs. His parents passed away (due to cancer) inspired him to go to medical field. He became a doctor at 60yrs old.
Yes, never too late to learn. I went back to school again at 43, a totally different field that I used to do. From IT to medical field.

Nice to see you're learning something new.

You should move to your own domain and self hosted blog. You can have more features than what you can do with Blogger platform.

ricks: Age does not matter. It's your determination to exert yourself to be the best in your field that matters. I know taking medical exams are not easy. You can refer to Symeon Chiam. He can share with you his experience. :)

kayatan: Haha...thanks for the compliment :) Thanks for telling us your experiences. Thanks for telling us your age as well. Most women do not want to disclose their age. You are one of the unique one around here :)

kuanhoong: Yea...I will consider that in the later stage. Talking about features and HTML languages, it took me half a day just to find the correct coding to paste that swf file onto the post. All information I found through the internet did not help me at all. I did not give up trying until I got it right. You can call me a perfectionist but it's my spirit that I do not give up easily until I am sure that things are runnning smoothly. Haha...I slept around 5am this morning :P

skynaz: I have been trying to hear you say that for a long time :P It's good to see you pushing yourself beyond your limits now. Good work. Keep it up :)

ahhh criz everyone's motivator :D nice flash animation there! did it using macromedia flash right? you got an eye for color and design, but the character needs some refinement, partly because the stroke is too thin , and the spinning move looks a bit unnecessary. maybe you can change the move from spinning to making a victory sign or something, that'll be more logical for a human stick figure.

as for the type "blog, blog, blog and earn $", maybe you can add some rhythm to it.. i don't mean for flashy animations, but i mean different font sizes for each "blog" and when they appear they will make a bigger impact. :)

of course that'll be another new challenge eh haha... nice job here!! i like your spirit!! :D me oso muz start learning liao haha...

Criz :"Most women do not want to disclose their age. You are one of the unique one around here :)"

Age to me is not a big deal. Ya, might be I am not as active as when I was younger but my outlook in life is still as +ve as I was in my 20's.

We only live once so we should make full use of every phase of our life.

Age is like a sign post of yr life journey; should not let it bother us much. What important is what have u done for each sign post ?

My life is very interesting :), a short summary of major events :

Got my master degree @ 25, backpacked > 20 countries for 1 yr @ 30, made my million $ @ 35, near bankruptcy @ 37, had a stroke @ 38, run a multi mil. frenchise @ 39, married @ 40, had my open heart surgeries @ 41, have my son at 42, starting my medical career @ 45 and learn to blog at 45 1/2 :). How abt that ? ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Hey criz! I think you know I reply all comments via my site, but I was very very heartfelt by your sincere comment, thank you so much. My arms are still in a lot of pain, and my wrists and everything feels like they're cracked. Particularly my right arm, so so so sore! And my thighs! my ass feels like block of ice! So lucky I didn't damage my face, my head got slid on the hand rail, I'm really lucky I didn't smash my head on the concrete or anything! I should get some meds soon, these bruises are fucking sore! By the way, the animation isn't that bad :D I was never good at animation, it takes practice:D

conan cat: yea...it's macromedia flash MX. As for the line, I follow exactly the thickness of the actual Nuffnang logo. As for the mophing effect, I'm still learning. What do you expect for a day's knowledge :P As for words "blog", taken note. Oh...keep yourself motivated too :)

kayatan: Hmmm...told you before, you are a very unique woman. And now it's getting to be extremely open too. :P Well, I think living in Florida for so many year has changed the way you carry yourself, not live most of the conservative women in Malaysia. I like your spirit too :)

Dakota: Hey dude...it's nice to see you around here after that nasty accident. Just make sure you get the necessary medical attention right now. Make sure you be careful next time when walking down an icy stairways. Get well soon :)
